Mosset

Approaching 2 000ft of altitude, Mosset has been progressively built around its castle, until becoming the village it is nowadays. It was a fortified town on the border between the kingdoms of France and
Aragon . Towers, walls and portals still remain.
At the 16th century, the castle dungeon is fitted to become the residence of the Lords of Mosset. Saint-Julien and Sainte Baselisse churches are rebuilt in the 17th century.
