International Academy of the Pablo Casals Festival
INTRODUCTION
The Academy is open to high level instrumentalists and formed chamber music groups from all countries. It takes place in Prades from August 1st to 14th during the Pablo Casals Festival.
INSTRUMENTAL MASTER CLASSES
A maximum of six students per master class on acceptance by the teacher. Registration will be closed when the required number of participants for each class is reached. Students are free to attend all the other classes as listeners. An accompanist is at the disposal of each class.

CHAMBER MUSIC COURSES
A. Already formed groups
String trio and quartet, piano trio and quartet.
Wind instrument ensembles :
Fee reduction agreed according to the size of the group.
B. Groups formed by the Academy
Open to all of the participants, after audition, depending on the possibilities (instruments, levels) without any increase in price.
One group or a soloist might be selected to participate in the Festival's winter activities (concerts, chamber music sessions).

For all students on the 1st of August, this will help us to know you better and will enable us to form homogeneous chamber music groups Please prepare a movement from a concerto or a sonata.
Pay particular attention to the level required by the teachers: CNR prize , level of CNSM of Paris or Lyon, higher levels of Hochschulen and other foreign music High Schools.

LIBRARY
A large chamber music library (for trio ensembles) will be at the disposal of students. A deposit of 50 euros will be requested for any loan.

THE ACADEMY'S CONCERTS
Eight chamber music concerts will be organized on August 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th, at Saint Peter's of Prades and in the churches of some surrounding villages. Students who are preparing international competitions will be given a large access to these concerts.

Free entrance to all the events insofar as there are available seats and upon presentation of the academy's badge.
